We find, fund, accelerate and connect high-potential entrepreneurs solving pressing social problems in Africa’s Great Lakes region in a sustainable way. We partner with early-stage, impact ventures that show enormous growth potential and provide their founders with the capital, resources, connections and support they need to scale.
Deploying capital, a bespoke acceleration program and sustained business advisory services enables our entrepreneurs to overcome three major obstacles:
Early stage impact businesses struggle to get access to funding as they are often too large for microfinances, but they don’t have the necessary collateral to qualify for commercial banks’ loans.
Investment capital is necessary but not sufficient for sustainable growth. Entrepreneurs need support to improve skills, put in place operational processes and management practices to allow them to move to the next stage of growth. We do this via our bespoke acceleration program and sustained support.
Entrepreneurs in Africa’s Great Lakes region lack access to expertise and the global impact ecosystem. We connect them to both. We mobilize experts locally and from around the world to mentor and support our entrepreneurs.
